Delete your account and data
You can delete your SafeEscort account at any time, either in the app or by email. Deleting it removes your profile and safety records.
Delete it yourself, right away
- Open the SafeEscort app and sign in.
- Go to Settings and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm with your password (or your Google account), type DELETE, and confirm.
Your account is deleted and you are signed out.
Ask us to delete it
If you no longer have the app or can't sign in, email us from the address registered to your account.
Email privacy@safeescort.infoUse the subject "Delete my SafeEscort account". We may ask you to confirm the request from your account email.
What is deleted
- Your account, sign-in details and profile
- Your live location and location history
- Your escort trips, Heartbeat check-in history and SOS alert history
- Your device notification token
Anything the in-app button doesn't remove right away is removed by us within 30 days.
Evidence recordings
Silent Recording is off by default and only starts after you give consent. Audio is recorded only during an active SOS alert. Recordings are kept for 48 hours after upload and then deleted automatically. You can delete a recording sooner in the app. Only you and your Guardians can see it.
What may be kept
- Messages you sent to allies stay in their copy of the chat. Photos and voice notes in chats are deleted automatically after 48 hours.
- Purchase records are kept by Google Play and our payment provider as the law requires. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, so cancel it in Google Play first.
- Backups are cleared on their normal cycle, within 30 days.
